1957-58 Cadillac Eldorado Brougham

W hen introduced in 1957, the Eldorado Brougham was the most expensive Cadillac to be built. Because of the expense of building this masterpiece in luxury motoring, it lasted only two years before GM management dumped it.

The Brougham is a testament to design. A stainless steel roof, tasteful fins, torpedo bumperettes and chrome and stainless steel detailing – lots of it, make this Cadillac unique from others cars of the ‘50s.

A massive 6.3 liter engine, with two four-barrel carburetors, powered the car, which was equipped with air suspension and an anti-dive feature that was useful during hard braking. Inside, there was a myriad of new car accessories unavailable in other cars of the time, including an atomizer and perfume. –LS
