Best known for its challenging race course, with enough twists, turns and elevation changes to make you dizzy, the Alabama course also is home to the Porsche Sport Driving School.

If you’re looking for an exciting get-away and a great learning experience, especially if you’re a Porsche enthusiast, you need to consider one of the programs offered by the school. Famed Porsche pilot Hurley Haywood oversees the instruction, with a staff of competent go-fast instructors. And, of course, students drive only Porsche vehicles during their studies.

Like every driving school, you’ll spend time in the classroom learning basics. But unlike most schools, the Porsche Sport Driving School promises loads of time on the track in a Porsche. And that’s a great thing, whether you own a Porsche, dream of owning one, or not.

Prices range from $1,795 for the One-Day High Performance Driving Course to $5,295 for the Three-Day Competition Driving Course. There’s also the Legends Course, a one-day high-performance driving school with racing legends like Haywood, Vic Elford, Brian Redman and Derek Bell.
