2010 Yamaha Phazer MTX
Q uick and agile, the power lightweight Phazer MTX is the perfect sled to scamper up most any mountainside. Taking its cues from the YZ dirtbike, the Phazer MTX has a tall, narrow seat and tall, forward handlebars, putting the rider in a pure sport posture. This rider-forward position also locates the mass of the rider right at the balance point for the sled, aiding its incredibly nimble handling. With wide runningboards, you'll be able to really move around and enjoy the full fun of a lightweight sled.
Powering the Phazer MTX is Yamaha's quick-revving and very torquey Genesis 80FI, a 2-cyclinder producing 80 horsepower. The exhaust is routed out the rear of the sled, similar to the other Genesis 4-strokes. The rear exiting exhaust design keeps the exhaust heat out of the engine bay and allows it to breathe more efficiently through a cooled exhaust pipe. It helps to balance the sled for better mobility.
The Phazer MTX uses a narrow 14-inch wide Camoplast Maverick track with 2-inch lugs. The track design is lightweight for great deep snow performance and handling. It also allows the tunnel to be narrower to improve the sled’s ergonomics.
Convenience features include electric start and reverse, along with a digital gauge displaying key information like vehicle speed on a large LCD readout. Riders can also select tachometer, odometer or tripmeter data to appear on the secondary readout.
The Phazer MTX comes in two graphic packages; Yamaha blue/black as well as orange/black. MSRP for both is $8099.
