VOLKSWAGON R32

S ome cars are designed to be functional while others are designed to be fun. The R32 is more like a piece of art. Loved by some, misunderstood by others – hard to find and unmistakable when found.

While the R32 has a strong following of diehard fans, there is a small crowd who is willing to spend almost $35,000 on a hatchback, which led to the R32 being discontinued from the U.S. market in 2009. However, the R32 is still a beautiful car that is worth consideration by true enthusiasts.

With a top (limited) speed of 155 mph, this hatch can fly. While its cheaper GTI version is still quite fast, the R32 offers even more speed with excellent comfort and luxury to match. With high-quality leather, a navigation system and beautiful dashboard lighting, the R32 fits in at family functions, the racetrack and at fancy tuxedo-only dinners.

Part beauty, all beast, the R32 is a great example of what the engineers at VW are capable of.
